Earth Moving Equipment

Heavy equipment is essential for construction jobs of almost any size, from home building to large-scale commercial and civil projects. Earth-moving equipment covers a broad range of machines that can excavate and grade soil and rock, along with other jobs. Earth movers and other heavy equipment help to speed not only earth work but also materials handling, demolition, and construction. Many types of heavy construction equipment are designed for multiple functions, making them indispensable on job sites.

Bulldozer

A bulldozer or dozer is a large, motorized machine equipped with a metal blade to the front for pushing material: soil, sand, snow, rubble, or rock during construction work. It travels most commonly on continuous tracks, though specialized models riding on large off-road tires are also produced.

Scraper Truck

Scraper Truck, in engineering, machine for moving earth over short distances (up to about two miles) over relatively smooth areas. Either self-propelled or towed, it consists of a wagon with a gate having a bladed bottom. The blade scrapes up earth as the wagon pushes forward and forces the excavated material into the wagon.

Motor Grader

The grader, also known as motor grader or road grader, is described as heavy-duty machine designed with a long blade that is used in different industry sectors. Graders are most commonly used in civil construction, roadworks and on mining sites for creating smooth and flat surfaces.

Hydraulic Truck

In the simplest terms, a hydraulic system uses fluid to create force or movement. In a basic cylinder hydraulic system, the movement is restricted to the length of the cylinder. Unfortunately, this very basic system is too simple for heavy-duty trucks to complete their jobs.

JCB

JCB is among the top names in the manufacturing of heavy-duty construction equipment in the world. Just as we call excavators on wheels as JCBs, we all call the excavators running on chains as Hitachi.
